Sukhothai Arc System
derived from the margin of South China–Indochina–East Malaya by back-arc spreading in the Late Carboniferous–
Early Permian This arc terrane is represented by the Lincang block in SW China, the Sukhothai block in Central Thailand and the
Chanthaburi block in SE Thailand–Cambodia The Sukhothai Arc terrane is here interpreted to have a thin continental basement that formed the margin of the South China–Indochina–East Malaya super-terrane. The arc separated from Indochina by back-arc spreading in the Early–Middle Permian and was then accreted to Indochina by back-arc collapse in the Late Permian
